Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini’s next initiative to empower young entrepreneurs and start-ups
Mumbai: 25th April: Successful business and trade is one of the important pillars of a prosperous nation. Capacity building among young entrepreneurs is the key to achieve this. Atal Incubation Centre (AIC), an initiative of Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini (RMP) supported by Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, Government of India, has been working since 2019 to nurture, handhold and support new age entrepreneurs. Towards this end, AIC-RMP yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with World Trade Centre (WTC) Mumbai. This collaboration aims to empower young talent, develop entrepreneurial skill sets, and help start-ups in scaling their businesses through global networking, mentorship and industry-driven programs.
Networking & innovation for international expansion
This partnership between AIC-RMP and M. Visvesvaraya Industrial Research & Development Centre (MVIRDC) WTC Mumbai is a significant step toward fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and global business opportunities and market access for start-ups. The key objectives of this joint initiative are: 1) Identifying and supporting start-ups for international market expansion
2) Joint development of entrepreneurship and innovation programs
3) Networking and trade facilitation with global business leaders
4) Organizing workshops, and training and acceleration programs
5) Mutual branding, visibility, and speaker engagements at events
The MoU signing ceremony was held at the serene Knowledge Excellence Centre of RMP campus in Uttan on the outskirts of Mumbai. Ms. Aakruti Bagwe, Director-Operations, MVIRDC World Trade Centre Mumbai; Ms. Smita Deshmukh, Head, Center of Excellence, MVIRDC World Trade Centre Mumbai; and Mr. Uday Wankawala, CEO, AIC-RMP, were the delegates present for the MoU signing. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Wankawala said, “Through this partnership, we aim to strengthen the start-up ecosystem by bridging the gap between innovation and international markets, and creating new opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs and businesses. We truly appreciate the work of WTC Mumbai and see a lot of synergy in our joint efforts towards ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat.”

100+ start-ups and 700+ jobs so far!
AIC-RMP’s objective is to create jobs through enterprise in the sectors of agriculture, education, healthcare and technology, thus combining business and social impact. With over 100 start-ups successfully incubated so far that have created 700+ jobs in association with 50+ corporate partners, 20+ academic partners, 10+ investment partners and 75+ mentors, AIC-RMP is playing a significant role in encouraging the young talent in the country. The major initiatives of AIC-RMP include guided sessions for start-up founders, Foundation Program for Budding Entrepreneurs, boot camps for start-ups and a basic entrepreneurship development course. The cohorts conducted till date include the Aarambh Cohort, Parivartan and Regular Cohorts, Vibha Cohort and Fast Track Cohort.
